Founded by Denovo Design Team, Denovo Design has spent nine years designing interiors and exteriors for homes and businesses across New Town, Rajarhat, Salt Lake and greater Kolkata.
Every home holds a story that hasn't been told yet. Denovo Design exists to help tell it — turning bare rooms and tired facades into spaces that finally feel like the life being lived inside them. That's where our name comes from: de novo, "from the beginning." Every project we take on really is one.
We started in Salua, Rajarhat, with nothing more than a conviction that good design shouldn't require a big-city agency or a six-figure budget — just someone who shows up, listens harder than they talk, and follows a project through to the very last coat of paint. That conviction hasn't changed. What's changed is how far it's carried us: from single-room refreshes to full building facades, across New Town, Salt Lake, Baguiati, Kestopur and greater Kolkata, almost entirely on the strength of one client telling the next.
We work both sides of the wall — interiors and exteriors — because the best homes don't treat them as separate problems. A living room and the facade it sits behind should feel like they were designed by the same hand, in the same breath. So we stay involved from the first pencil sketch to the final handover walkthrough, with one team and one point of contact the whole way, so nothing gets lost in translation between designer, vendor and site.
Today that means a small, deliberately un-corporate team: a site execution lead who's on top of vendors and daily progress before you have to ask, an interior specialist obsessing over the materials and finishes that make a space feel finished rather than just complete, and a client relations lead whose entire job is making sure you're never left wondering what's happening with your own project.
A small, dedicated team — not a rotating cast of subcontractors.
Leads every project's design direction, from first concept sketch through final material selection.
Manages day-to-day site work, vendor coordination and timelines so projects stay on schedule.
Focused on material selection, furniture layout and the fine details that make a space feel finished.
Keeps you updated at every stage, so you're never left wondering what's happening with your project.
Started with small residential interior projects across Rajarhat, working directly with homeowners.
Began taking on full building exteriors and boundary wall projects alongside interiors.
Crossed 50 completed projects across New Town, Rajarhat and Kolkata, almost entirely through referrals.
Today, Denovo Design is trusted by homeowners and small businesses across New Town, Rajarhat, Salt Lake, Baguiati and Kestopur for both interior and exterior work.
Every project starts with understanding how you actually live or work in the space — not a template.
Kolkata's heat and monsoon shape every material and finish choice we make, especially for exteriors.
One team, one point of contact, from the first sketch to the final walkthrough.
We choose materials and vendors for how they'll hold up in five years, not just how they photograph today.
